FAQ

If you are anything like me, you will have questions and that is a good thing! Below are some of the most commonly asked questions I receive regarding weddings, but if you are still unsure or can't find what you are looking for, contact me here - no hesitations!

What if you are sick/unavailable to film on the wedding day?

As a very busy person, I know I have to prioritise my health and do the best I can to look after myself throughout the year. However, in the unlikely case that I cannot make it due to sickness or extreme, unforeseen circumstances, I have a multiple backup videographers whom will capture the day/event to the highest standard. All editing will be completed by myself at Blue Creative.

Can I have access to all of the raw footage?

I provide the raw footage of the speeches in select packages. If the package you select doesn't include this, you can add that on as an optional extra so you can always keep those memories.

What audio options are there?

Have a browse through the packages on offer. For those that include grabs of audio, this refers to both during the ceremony (vows) and the speeches, and it ties in so nicely with the video as just like the highlight clips, the audio is also the highlights from the day.

What is the structure of the day like?

This of course depends on how you are structuring your day (every wedding is different) and also which package you select (how many hours I am there to capture the event) however, generally speaking I like to capture both parties getting ready at there various locations, guests arriving at the ceremony, the ceremony itself, followed by bridal party photos and then the initial stages of the reception (or longer depending on package booked).

Do you charge travel?

Travel is charged when the wedding takes place greater than 1 hour from the CBD as calculated by Google Maps and without tolls. If your wedding is regional (2 hours from Melbourne CBD), depending on the finish time of the booking, accomodation may be required and will incur an additional fee that is subject to the location.

Can I receive my wedding video on multiple USB's to hand out to family and friends?

When you receive your wedding video, you receive it both on a Blue Creative USB in a keepsake box and also as a digital file via dropbox that you can download in full quality (perfect for those social media uploads when you share your day far and wide). If you would like an additional USB to gift to family and/or friends, the cost is $10 per USB, and they will all be sent in the one keep sake box that you and your new spouse receive.

Can we meet before hand?

Of course! If you would like to meet up over a coffee to suss me out (don't worry - I won't be offended) that is totally fine. I often meet couples to get a vibe for the day. An alternate and highly popular option is to Skype/Face time one another (sometimes it can be very difficult to find a time when everyone is fee) - but having said that, a bunch of couples don't feel like they need to meet before and would prefer to just go for gold - so whatever works for you!

How much is the deposit and when is the balance due?

The deposit to hold the date and due upon booking is 20% of the total package price (inc. optional extras and/or travel). The remainder of the cost is due within the week before the big day.

Do you shoot ariel/drone footage?

YES! Nothing makes a video like a birds eye view and a whole new perspective. The chance to have drone footage is included in ALL of my packages. However, if the day has strong winds, unfortunately the drone will not be able to be flown - this is rare, but does happen from time to time.
